Assistant manager - IT
Scope
- A Assist the IT Manager in overseeing the daily operations of the hotel’s IT Department and ensure continuous IT support across all departments.
- Provide timely technical support to hotel departments and resolve hardware, software, network, and system-related issues.
- Ensure the smooth operation and maintenance of the hotel’s Property Management System (PMS), Point of Sale (POS), telephone system, guest Wi-Fi, back-office applications, and other hotel technology systems.
- Monitor and maintain the hotel’s network infrastructure, including servers, switches, routers, access points, firewalls, and internet connectivity.
- Ensure reliable and secure guest Wi-Fi and staff network services, including monitoring connectivity and resolving service interruptions.
- Support the operation and maintenance of CCTV, access control, door locking systems, telephone/PABX systems, digital signage, and other technology-related hotel systems.
- Provide technical support to Front Office, Finance, Food & Beverage, Housekeeping, Engineering, HR, Sales & Marketing, and other departments.
Requirements
- Diploma or Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2–3 years of experience in a similar capacity, preferably in a hotel or resort environment.
- Strong knowledge of hotel IT systems, including PMS, POS, PABX, guest Wi-Fi, CCTV, access control, and back-office systems.
- Good knowledge of computer hardware, software, operating systems, networking, servers, printers, switches, routers, and wireless networks.
- Practical experience in troubleshooting hardware, software, network, and system-related issues.
Knowledge of IT security, cybersecurity, data protection, backup, and disaster recovery procedures.
