Job Description
We are recruiting a End User Device Management Engineer for our client a telecommunications firm in Ikoyi Lagos Nigeria.
Job Profile/Job Description:
Maintain availability of end user devices on new installations and upgrades, ensuring the process from request to deployment are followed.
Research new technologies, approaches and best practices on end user device management.
Provide input into the selection of hardware and software tools, tailoring and installation based on knowledge of technical problems and hitches associated with the proposed brand.
Maintain the company’s IS Asset and configuration information and conformity to best practice (ITSM)
Deploy devices to end user and recover devices when necessary
Upgrade and replace devices when necessary.
Ensure vendor compliance to the company’s standards and specifications
Prepare new systems and reinstall recovered devices in readiness for reallocation
Update Asset database and all relevant spreadsheets with allocation information.
Work with the Enterprise system and End User devices for excellent inventory record
Coordinate and liaise with the End user engineer, Enterprise Operating System and Hardware engineers to keep records and track inventory records.
Work closely with all IT staff to track procurement, maintenance and disposal of IT Assets
Work with support teams to ensure that the incident management process is being achieved while ensuring that the IT policies and procedures are adhered to at all times.
Excellent communication skills and experience of coordinating Asset Audit for internal and external customers.
Production of weekly/monthly/ad-hoc Incident Management reports from BMC Remedy system and suggest possible improvements via trend analysis and reporting.
Qualifications
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
First degree in Computer Science or related fields.
Minimum of ITIL3 Foundation certification
A+ Certification
Minimum of 2 years hands-on experience in End User Support
Analytical and statistical skills.
Windows Systems (MS Office)
Knowledge and understanding of specified operating systems and computer hardware.
Knowledge of computer problem resolution procedures and techniques.
Ability to multitask, evaluate, prioritize multiple clients needs internal and external of the business.
