Overview of the role

The Data Consultant serves as the Data Delivery Lead for complex data and custom research studies, transforming large and complex datasets into high-quality, client-ready solutions that support business decision-making. The role is responsible for ensuring data quality, delivery excellence, and methodological rigour across custom research and consulting engagements. As an individual contributor, the Data Consultant provides technical leadership, collaborates closely with Consulting, Commercial, and Product teams, and leads the delivery of large-scale data projects across ASEAN and North Asia, including Japan and Korea. This position reports directly to the Global Head of Data, with a matrix reporting line to the Regional Head of Consulting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end data delivery for complex consulting and custom research projects, from data sourcing and enrichment through modelling, validation, and final client delivery.
  • Own data quality and governance, ensuring robust validation processes, quality controls, documentation standards, and reliable client-ready outputs.
  • Act as a trusted data advisor by translating complex datasets and methodologies into clear, actionable insights and recommendations for clients and internal stakeholders.
  • Partner with Consulting, Commercial, and Product teams to assess project feasibility, shape data solutions, manage delivery risks, and support business growth opportunities.
  • Apply strong analytical and methodological expertise to transform structured and unstructured data into scalable, reliable, and client-ready outputs.
  • Drive innovation and process improvement by identifying opportunities to leverage AI, GenAI, automation, and scalable delivery methodologies to improve efficiency and quality.
  • Build organisational capability through coaching, knowledge sharing, development of best practices, and strengthening data consulting excellence across teams.
  • Coordinate cross-functional and regional stakeholders across ASEAN and North Asia to ensure successful delivery of large-scale data engagements.

Requirements

  • Right to work in Singapore
  • Bachelor/Master degree in Statistics, Data Analytics, Econometrics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Economics, or another quantitative discipline.
  • Experience in data delivery, analytics, market intelligence, consulting, research technology, or other data-driven environments.
  • Experience working with large and complex datasets, with proficiency in SQL, Python, R, BI tools, Excel or similar data platforms
  • Experience with managing complex, multi-source data and research projects from problem definition through data transformation, validation, and final delivery.
  • Strong understanding of data quality controls, validation methodologies, data lineage, and governance best practices.
  • Strong collaboration, influencing, presentation, and communication skills with the ability to build credibility across commercial, product, consulting, and data teams
  • Ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable, and commercially relevant insights for both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Experience across ASEAN and North Asia markets (particularly Japan and Korea) and regional language capabilities would be desirable
