Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Structural Inspector to join our team in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. In this role, you will play a critical part in ensuring the integrity and safety of structural projects by conducting thorough inspections, verifying compliance with specifications, and maintaining comprehensive documentation. The ideal candidate will be organized, efficient, and committed to transparent communication with all project stakeholders while maintaining the highest standards of quality assurance.

  • Conduct comprehensive field inspections of various structural elements including buildings, bridges, foundations, and other infrastructure to monitor construction progress and material quality
  • Review construction plans, specifications, and project documentation to verify contractor compliance with established standards and regulatory requirements
  • Identify, document, and communicate deficiencies, non-conformances, and safety hazards observed during inspections to project management and contractors in a timely manner
  • Verify material quality, testing results, and certifications to ensure adherence to project specifications and industry standards
  • Compile inspection data, generate detailed daily inspection reports, and maintain organized records, photographs, and documentation in accordance with project requirements and regulatory guidelines
  • Perform quality assurance reviews and conduct follow-up inspections to verify that corrective actions have been completed satisfactorily
  • Communicate effectively and transparently with project stakeholders, including contractors, engineers, clients, and team members regarding inspection findings and project progress
  • Maintain accurate measurements and assessments of structural elements, documenting findings with precision and attention to detail
  • Participate in project meetings and provide professional recommendations based on inspection observations
  • Work collaboratively with the project team to support goal achievement and project success

Qualifications

  • 6+ years of experience with construction inspection and contract compliance on structural projects
  • Knowledge of local building codes, structural standards, and regulatory requirements in the UAE
  • Experience with structural assessment and quality control procedures
  • Proficiency in photography and digital documentation for inspection records
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and analytical thinking skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within a team environment
  • Self-motivated with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues
  • Experience with inspection software or project management tools
  • Certification in structural inspection or related field (preferred but not required)
