Job Description

The Mitsubishi Trained HVAC Technician will be responsible for the installation, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and servicing of Mitsubishi air-conditioning and HVAC systems across the property.

The role requires strong technical knowledge of Mitsubishi equipment and the ability to diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, and control-related faults efficiently. The technician will work closely with the Engineering team to ensure reliable operation of HVAC systems, minimize downtime, and reduce reliance on external service providers.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance of Mitsubishi HVAC and air-conditioning systems.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and control system faults.
• Perform repairs and replacements of components where required.
• Monitor system performance and identify potential issues before breakdowns occur.
• Carry out regular inspections and maintenance in accordance with manufacturer recommendations.
• Respond promptly to HVAC breakdowns and guest/service-related maintenance requests.
• Maintain accurate records of inspections, repairs, spare parts, and equipment performance.
• Coordinate with external Mitsubishi service representatives when specialist support is required.
• Ensure all maintenance activities comply with health, safety, environmental, and company standards.
• Support the Engineering team with general HVAC and technical maintenance duties when required.
• Maintain tools, equipment, and spare parts in good working condition.
• Provide technical input regarding recurring faults, repair costs, and potential improvements.
• Assist management in identifying opportunities to reduce external maintenance and service costs

Qualifications

• Technical diploma or vocational qualification in HVAC, Refrigeration, Air Conditioning, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
• Mitsubishi Electric / Mitsubishi Heavy Industries certified or factory-trained technician is highly preferred.
• Minimum 3–5 years of hands-on experience in HVAC maintenance and servicing.
• Proven experience working with Mitsubishi VRF/VRV, split and multi-split systems.
• Good knowledge of refrigeration systems, electrical components, HVAC controls and troubleshooting.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical wiring diagrams and technical manuals.
• Knowledge of preventive and corrective maintenance procedures.
• Valid refrigerant handling certification/licence, where required by local regulations.
• Good problem-solving and diagnostic skills.
• Ability to work independently and respond to emergency breakdowns.
• Good English communication skills; additional languages are an advantag
