As Head of Operations – Air Traffic Management Network Solutions at Frequentis, you direct the operational activities of our innovative network solutions for air traffic management customers. You combine strategic vision with a hands-on mentality to successfully drive forward demanding technological projects. Through appreciative and motivating leadership, you sustainably develop your international teams. Furthermore, you actively shape cross-functional processes and thereby ensure the highest availability of our safety-critical solutions.

Key Tasks

• Operational and Strategic Team Leadership: You are responsible for the operational and strategic management of the project managers while offering support to the Project Engineering Team, consistently aligning all activities with the goals of the Market Unit.
• Project Portfolio Management: You set up the international projects of the Market Unit Network Solutions, oversee their implementation, and foster long-term customer loyalty even during the maintenance phase. A special focus lies on comprehensive projects in Brazil, where you will also partially take over project management yourself.
• Budget & Resource Responsibility: You handle the planning and control of resources, projects, and budgets, including transparent and timely reporting to management.
• Performance & Optimisation: You manage the planning, implementation, and tracking of all measures to achieve objectives with full profit-and-loss responsibility, and optimise processes regarding costs, quality, and efficiency.
• Stakeholder Management: As a central hub, you purposefully connect internal and external teams, coordinate resources efficiently, and resolve emerging conflicts or escalations in a solution-oriented manner.
• Mentoring & Decision Making: You mentor new employees and promote continuous professional development, among other things, through clear and binding decisions in day-to-day business.

Key Qualifications

• Education: Completed degree (e.g., technology, engineering, aviation, business, IT) or comparable qualification.
• Experience: Several years of leadership experience within a corporate environment, preferably in the software sector and in the execution of complex customer projects.
• Mindset: Strong entrepreneurial understanding and sound business knowledge for managing key performance indicators and budgets.
• Personality: You are characterized by a structured approach, maintain an overview even in critical moments, and impress with a high level of dedication and a pragmatic hands-on mentality for efficient problem-solving.
• Communication: You are a strong communicator with business-fluent English, bringing the ability to clearly represent complex matters to a variety of diverse stakeholders.
• Travel Readiness: You bring a moderate willingness to travel of up to 10% for international appointments and customer visits.

Salary

The remuneration starting from EUR 90,000 gross per year for this position consists of the collective agreement minimum salary (based on a 38.5 hour week) PLUS an overpayment in line with the market depending on your professional qualifications and experience.
