Are you someone who takes pride in producing high-quality work and enjoys working in a hands-on industrial environment? We are looking for a Blaster to join our team in Wangara, Western Australia. In this role, you will play a critical part in preparing valves, actuators, fabricated products, and customer equipment for painting, assembly, repair, and refurbishment through abrasive blasting processes. Your attention to detail and commitment to safety will help ensure our products meet the high standards our customers rely on.

In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

  • Perform abrasive blasting on valves, actuators, fabricated components, and customer-returned equipment to meet required surface preparation standards.
  • Prepare surfaces for painting, coating, inspection, assembly, and refurbishment activities.
  • Remove rust, scale, coatings, and contaminants while achieving specified cleanliness and surface profile requirements.
  • Safely operate blasting equipment, recovery systems, overhead cranes, forklifts, and associated tools.
  • Perform routine equipment inspections and identify maintenance requirements.
  • Support quality inspections by ensuring components meet customer and engineering requirements.
  • Handle materials safely and protect critical surfaces from damage during the blasting process.
  • Maintain a clean and organised workspace while contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Actively contribute to a strong safety culture by following workplace health, safety, and environmental procedures.

For This Role, You Will Need:

  • Experience in abrasive blasting, surface preparation, manufacturing, fabrication, industrial maintenance, or a related environment.
  • An LF Forklift Licence.
  • An Overhead Crane Licence.
  • Experience using overhead cranes, lifting equipment, hand tools, and power tools.
  • Ability to follow work instructions and interpret drawings or technical documentation.
  • A strong commitment to safety, quality, and teamwork.

Preferred Qualifications That Set You Apart:

  • Experience in valve assembly, repair, or refurbishment activities.
  • Experience working in a workshop, engineering, oil and gas, mining, manufacturing, or industrial environment.
  • Knowledge of quality assurance processes and inspection requirements.
  • First Aid Certification.
  • Manual handling training.
