Job Description
Egis is looking for a hands-on Technology Support Lead to run frontline IT across our four QLD offices. You'll deliver advanced Level 2 support — spanning hardware, software and meeting room/AV — while driving service improvement and acting as the trusted IT voice for our engineering and project delivery teams.
You'll manage one direct report, travel between sites to stay visible, and be the key link between local operations and the wider global IT organisation — keeping our people, project teams and engineering platforms running smoothly.
You will be responsible for
- Leading Brisbane IT support (one direct report), delivering hands-on Level 2 hardware and software support across laptops, desktops, printers, mobile devices, Windows 11, Microsoft 365 and business/engineering applications
- Owning meeting room and AV/video conferencing technology (Teams Rooms, displays, mics) across all four offices, including project and design review spaces
- Managing device lifecycle — imaging, deployment, patching, break/fix and hardware refresh — plus onboarding and offboarding for project-based and permanent staff
- Acting as the go-to voice on technology for business and project leads, and the primary local point of contact for the global IT organisation
- Owning ticket management, documentation and escalation in line with ITIL, and reporting on SLAs, ticket trends and asset/license compliance
- Managing software asset and license compliance, and leading communication and training for technology changes and rollouts
- Championing diversity, inclusion and HSE practices across the team
Qualifications
Ideally, you will be an experienced IT professional ready for a functional leadership role. In addition, you will also have:
- A degree in Computer Science, IT or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- Strong Level 2 hardware, software, networking and cloud support experience; engineering software exposure a plus
- Practical experience supporting meeting room/AV and conferencing technology
- A solid ITIL grounding and enterprise technology management experience
- Commercial acumen across budgeting, asset lifecycle and cost control
- Strong stakeholder management and a proactive, solutions-driven mindset
- A customer service ethos; a retail or hospitality background a plus
- A self-starter approach, comfortable managing multiple priorities across sites
