We are currently seeking experienced and reliable Truck Drivers to join our Northern Region operations. Opportunities are available on both a full-time and casual basis, with work across the Launceston, Devonport and Burnie regions.

Based from our Launceston depot, these roles offer the opportunity to work within a supportive team while servicing a diverse range of customers throughout Northern Tasmania.

The Opportunity

As a Truck Driver, you will play a key role in supporting Spectran's waste and resource recovery operations across Northern Tasmania.

You will be responsible for the safe and efficient collection, transport and delivery of bins and materials while providing a high level of customer service and maintaining compliance with all safety and operational requirements.

Site-specific and operational training will be provided to the successful candidate.

Key Responsibilities

• Safely operate company vehicles in accordance with road laws, company procedures and industry standards.
• Conduct daily pre-start and post-operational vehicle inspections.
• Complete the collection, transport and delivery of bins and materials.
• Ensure loads are secured and transported safely.
• Communicate effectively with customers, dispatch and operational teams.
• Maintain accurate records and required documentation.
• Report vehicle defects, incidents and safety concerns promptly.
• Represent Spectran professionally when interacting with customers and the public.
• Contribute to a strong safety culture and environmental best practice.

What to Expect

This role operates throughout the Launceston, Devonport and Burnie regions, servicing a broad range of customers across Northern Tasmania.

Drivers typically work approximately 10-hour days, with start and finish times varying to meet operational requirements. Overtime and penalty rates are paid in accordance with the applicable Award and company arrangements.

This role is well suited to drivers who enjoy working independently, take pride in their work and are committed to providing excellent service to customers.

Essential

• Current HR, HC or MC driver's licence relevant to the role.
• Demonstrated experience operating hook trucks and/or semi-trailer combinations.
• Strong commitment to health, safety and environmental standards.
• Ability to work independently and manage workloads effectively.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
• Reliable attendance and a strong work ethic.

Desirable

• Experience within the waste management, transport or logistics industries.
• Current White Card.
• Knowledge of Tasmania's road network and regional operations.
