About the Role

The Early Learning Centre (ELC) Educator plays a key role in supporting the delivery of a high-quality early childhood education program that promotes each child’s learning, wellbeing, development, and sense of belonging. Working collaboratively with the Early Childhood Teacher and ELC Director, the ELC Educator contributes to curriculum implementation, daily routines, and the observation and documentation of children’s learning. The role is responsible for maintaining a safe, inclusive, and compliant learning environment while building positive and professional relationships with children, families, and colleagues to support positive outcomes for all children.

This appointment is temporary to replace an employee who is on parental leave. The incumbent is entitled to return earlier to their substantive position in accordance with the Fair Work Act 2009.

Qualifications and Eligibility

  • ACT Working with Vulnerable People clearance (WWVP)
  • Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care, or Certificate III in Education Support (birth to 12), or Certificate III in Children’s Services.
  • Accreditation in accordance with the Accreditation to Work, Teach and Lead in Catholic Education Canberra and Goulburn policy
