About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Product Owner to join our Adelaide team. In this role, you will work to ensure it is aligned with the product vision and creates value for customers, users and HAMBS. You will act as the customer proxy, working with internal and external stakeholders, to define and prioritise the backlog, coordinate dependencies and oversee delivery.

Responsibilities

  • Work with customers, the Enterprise Portfolio Team, Product Team members and other key stakeholders to define and prioritise the backlog, coordinate dependencies with other Product Owners, and communicate decisions.

  • Partner with the Enterprise Portfolio Team to inform the product roadmap, and plan the Product Team’s quarterly work.

  • Collaborate with the Scrum Master and Product Team to break large initiatives into increment or Sprint goals, features and stories.

  • Act as the escalation point for critical incidents associated with the product, providing regular updates on status and resolution in line with service level agreements.

  • Work with the Scrum Master to support effective management of incidents and service requests, driving Product Team performance against service level agreements.

  • Build trusted and effective relationships with key stakeholders.

  • Communicate product updates, decisions and progress regularly through appropriate channels.

  • Facilitate open communication, discussion and collaboration between stakeholders.

Qualifications

  • Relevant tertiary qualification in Information Technology or Computer Science, or demonstrated relevant experience (essential).

  • Agile Product Owner training or certification (desirable).

  • Experience in a similar senior role, with demonstrated ownership and management of a product backlog.

  • Strong planning, communication and business writing skills, with the ability to translate user and business objectives into implementation-ready detail.

  • Experience in leadership roles, with the confidence to make timely, effective and empowered decisions.

  • Experience with Agile software delivery practices and principles.

  • Understanding and application of Microsoft Office and other programs or applications as required.
