We are seeking a Senior Purchasing Specialist to join our INPEX Contracts & Procurement team in Perth in a permanent position. Join us in helping shape a brighter energy future.

Key responsibilities:

  • Act as a trusted procurement advisor, providing guidance on procurement processes, systems, governance, and best practices
  • Support and optimise end-to-end Procure-to-Pay activities, ensuring compliance, efficiency, and a positive user experience.
  • Develop procurement reporting, analytics, and compliance monitoring capabilities to support informed business decisions
  • Manage and oversee all aspects relevant to the preparation, issue, maintenance, expediting and closeout of Purchase Orders.
  • Drive procurement automation initiatives and maintain automated procurement solutions across materials and services categories through Price List Arrangements.
  • Support the deployment and optimisation of procurement technologies including SAP, Ariba, and SAP S/4HANA, providing subject matter expertise for system enhancements and digital transformation initiatives.
  • Partner closely with stakeholders and outsourced service providers to ensure procurement activities are delivered efficiently and effectively.
  • Analyse purchasing activity, supplier performance, lead times, and spend data to identify opportunities for improvement, cost savings, and value creation
  • Identify process inefficiencies and operational bottlenecks and support the implementation of continuous improvement initiatives that enhance procurement performance and stakeholder experience

Successful candidates will:

  • Hold a tertiary qualification in Business, Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Commerce, Engineering, Statistics, or a related discipline.
  • Bring significant experience in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain environments, with strong knowledge of procurement governance and Procure-to-Pay processes.
  • Demonstrate experience working with procurement technologies, including SAP MM, SAP Ariba, and SAP S/4HANA.
  • Possess strong analytical skills with the ability to translate complex data into meaningful business insights and recommendations.
  • Have advanced Excel capabilities, including reporting automation, Power Query, Power Pivot, and data modelling
  • Be highly collaborative with excellent stakeholder engagement, communication, and influencing skills.
  • Demonstrate a proactive, solutions-focused approach, with a commitment to continuous improvement and innovation.
  • Thrive in a dynamic environment and exhibit sound judgement, accountability, and a strong customer service focus.

This role is for applicants residing in or willing to relocate to Perth, W.A.
