We are seeking an experienced Financial Controller to lead our financial operations and provide trusted financial insight that supports strategic decision-making across the business.

About the Role

Working directly with our Leadership team, you will be responsible for the day-to-day financial management, accounting operations, and financial integrity of Digital61. You'll play a critical role in ensuring accurate financial reporting, maintaining strong financial controls, and providing valuable insights to support business performance.

You will partner closely with leaders across the organisation, supporting growth initiatives while ensuring robust compliance and governance frameworks remain in place.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the day-to-day finance function and accounting operations.
• Prepare monthly financial reports, management reporting, forecasts, and year-end financial information.
• Manage budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow activities.
• Deliver financial analysis and insights to support business decision-making.
• Maintain strong internal controls and ensure compliance with financial delegations.
• Oversee payroll processing and financial administration activities.
• Support taxation, accounting standards compliance, and external auditor requirements.
• Provide commercial reporting and margin analysis for sales and managed services operations.
• Identify and mitigate financial risks and exposures.
• Drive continuous improvement across financial processes, systems, and reporting.
• Provide leadership, guidance, and support to finance team members.

About You

To be successful in this role, you'll bring:

• Tertiary qualifications in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
• CA or CPA qualification (preferred).
• Demonstrated experience (3 to 5 Years) as a Financial Controller, Senior Accountant, Finance Manager, or similar role.
• Strong financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and commercial analysis capability.
• Experience working within professional services, technology, consulting, or managed services environments.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail, analytical thinking, and problem-solving abilities.
• A proactive approach to identifying opportunities for process improvement and operational efficiency.
