We're looking for an experienced Veterinary Nurse to join our team on a casual basis, providing support during annual leave, personal leave, busy periods, and whenever the clinic needs an extra pair of capable hands.

About the Role

This is a casual Veterinary Nurse position. We're looking for someone who can confidently step into the clinic and assist across all areas of nursing.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Pre-operative and post-operative patient care
• Surgical nursing and theatre support
• Anaesthetic monitoring and patient recovery
• Dental procedures and nursing support
• Animal pathology and diagnostic testing
• Medical and hospital nursing
• Emergency and critical care nursing support
• Team-based consulting
• Placement of intravenous catheters
• Blood collection and sample preparation
• Patient handling and restraint
• Maintaining high standards of hygiene and infection control
• Supporting reception and client service
• Handling client enquiries professionally in person, by phone, and via email

This is a fantastic opportunity for a nurse who enjoys using their full skillset and being an active contributor to patient care.

About You

We're looking for someone who:

• Holds a Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing
• Has a minimum of 2+ years of clinical veterinary nursing experience
• Is confident across both medical and surgical nursing
• Has strong anaesthetic monitoring skills
• Is confident with pathology collection, IV catheter placement, and blood sampling
• Enjoys both patient care and client-facing responsibilities
• Has excellent communication and customer service skills
• Works well independently and within a team environment
• Has experience with Team-Based Care (highly regarded)
• Has knowledge of RxWorks (desirable but not essential)
• Is reliable, adaptable, and able to hit the ground running
