We’re excited to offer a full-time, permanent opportunity for a Sales Support Merchandise & Administration team member to join our Cooma branch. In this diverse and rewarding role, you'll play a key part in supporting our customers, driving in-store sales, delivering outstanding service across our rural merchandise range, and providing essential administrative support to the branch team.
What You'll Do:
Reporting to the Branch Manager, you’ll play an integral role in supporting the overall success of the branch. Building strong relationships with local farmers, producers, and trade customers, you'll deliver exceptional service while bringing a positive, can-do attitude to everything you do. In this diverse role, you'll support the branch by:
- Providing friendly, professional advice and support to customers
- Assisting customers with product enquiries, pricing, and sales transactions
- Processing counter sales and customer orders
- Completing branch administration, including stock control, ordering, receipting, and dispatching goods
- Managing inventory, picking and packing customer orders, and supporting stock replenishment activities
- Assisting with merchandise promotions and campaign activity
- Completing on-farm deliveries when required
- Loading and unloading trucks, unpacking deliveries, and maintaining accurate stock records
- Maintaining a safe, welcoming, and well-presented store environment
- Supporting the wider team with day-to-day branch operations to ensure smooth and efficient service delivery
What You'll Bring:
To be successful in this role, you’ll bring previous experience in a team support or customer‑focused role within a busy environment. You’ll have a genuine interest in Australian farming and agriculture, with knowledge of animal health and rural merchandise highly regarded.
- Experience working in a sales, customer service or warehousing environment
- An energetic, can‑do attitude with initiative and a practical problem‑solving approach
- Strong verbal communication skills and the ability to build long‑term customer relationships
- A proactive mindset with good organisational skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- The ability to handle customer enquiries with empathy and confidence
- An interest in identifying opportunities to improve internal sales and branch processes
- Solid computer skills, including Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook
- Available to work 8am – 5:30pm Monday to Friday
- A current driver’s licence (essential)
- Forklift licence (desirable)
