We’re looking for an undergraduate Mechanical Engineer to join our team in Yatala, Gold Coast from January 2027. This role is part-time and we are looking for someone who can commit to 16-24 hours per week for a two-year paid internship. To be eligible, you’ll need to hold Australian or New Zealand permanent residency or citizenship.

About You
You don't need to know everything yet, that's what our internship is for. We’re looking for undergrads who are curious, innovative and have a growth mindset. You’re comfortable working in a fast‑paced environment, enjoy solving problems and are passionate about making a difference.
To be eligible for our 2027 program, you'll need to be:
- An Australian or New Zealand citizen or have Australian permanent residency at the time of application
- A first or second-year undergraduate student pursuing Mechanical Engineering degree (or similar)
- Be able to commence part-time employment in February 2027 for 2 years
Your Impact
As a key member of our Electrification & Automation team, you will:
- Engage in building prototypes of cutting-edge switchgear designs and participate in conducting comprehensive design verification tests.
- Assist in constructing and testing mechanical, electrical, and electronic subsystems, playing a vital role in our pioneering engineering efforts.
- Collaboratively write test plans based on functional requirement specifications and IEC standards to ensure our projects meet the highest specifications.
- Analyze test data rigorously, leveraging programming skills to automate data analysis, and contribute to insightful engineering judgements on system performance.
- Document and present test reports that capture essential findings and highlight areas of improvement for optimized engineering solutions.
