KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES (not all-inclusive, within delegated authority):

  1. Provide first- and second-level ICT Helpdesk support to ensure timely resolution of user incidents and service requests.

  2. Monitor LAN/WAN against prepared baseline and take necessary preventive and/or corrective measures for any unusual activities.

  3. Configure, install and maintain IT infrastructure and switch, router, firewalls.

  4. Maintain and oversee Active Directory related issues.

  5. Perform ICT system and equipment preventative maintenance, submit maintenance report and take any corrective measures when needed.

  6. Review ICT equipment status and recommend for replacement, procurement and deployment according to WFP corporate standards; Review and Prepare for obsolete equipment list and arrange for disposal as per corporate guidelines.

  7. Prepare computer/ICT facilities for new staff members for the Country office, Sub offices and warehouses.

  8. Maintain and monitor servers and related IT services.

  9. Train and guide IT Helpdesk staff and act as a second level technical escalation point.

  10. Evaluate, recommend and implement ITIL best practices wherever applicable to improve IT business process, participate in discussions on new/revised procedures and practices.

  11. Assist users with security awareness and best practices. Report security incidents and support remediation activities.

  12. Train and support users of technology and systems, such as audio/videoconferences, meetings, databases, networks etc.

  13. Ensure data availability, integrity and continuity by taking backup, prepare for emergency preparedness and responses as per Business Continuity Plan.

  14. Ensure optimal radio network (VHF) operations, through the implementation of standard operating procedures and the provision of guidelines and training to end users on radio usage and basic maintenance.

  15. Maintain and oversee PABX and related services.

  16. Monitor network and Internet availability, performance of ISPs in the Country and Field Offices report at the end of each month.

  17. Perform other related tasks as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

Education: Completion of University Degree (Bachelor's or equivalent) is required. Education in Computer Science/Computer Engineering or in any relevant field is preferable.
Experience: At least 5 years of overall experience in Information Technology or Telecommunications or Information Management, such as, WAN/LAN Networking, Operating Systems, Telephone Services, Radio unit, Active Directory, SharePoint site Administration or in any other relevant fields.
Language: Fluency in spoken and written both in English and Bangla language.
