Our “Global Investment and Innovation Incentives (Gi³)” service line is embedded within Deloitte’s Tax and legal practice and is focused on advising companies in their pursuit of the right incentives by developing and executing an effective grants and incentives strategy for their specific needs.

The Gi³ team in Belgium comprises scientists and engineers who deliver specialist added value consulting to allow clients to benefit from various grants and incentives related to their priorities in terms of R&D, innovation, and sustainability, and to optimize their innovation and intellectual property (IP) strategies.

In order to sustain our rapid growth, we are looking for a colleague for our Gi³ team.

Your responsibilities:

• Advise clients from a wide range of industries and markets with respect to their R&D, innovation and sustainability activities, with a focus on technical and scientific assessment;
• Build client relationships and gain an in-depth understanding of their R&D, innovation and sustainability priorities and intellectual property (IP) strategy through client visits;
• Collect and analyze technical and financial data received from our clients and assist them in qualifying for grants or tax incentives on a local and European level, including: (i) identification of eligible R&D, innovation and sustainability activities; (ii) assistance in preparing required application documentation; and (iii) guidance throughout the application process;
• Stay current with emerging technologies, industry innovations, and evolving grants and incentives frameworks in your area of expertise.

Essential qualifications:

• Master's degree, PhD, or equivalent professional experience in Engineering, Computer Science, semiconductor technologies, programming, or other deep-tech domains.
• Relevant experience in a technical, consulting, or R&D-focused role, typically gained over 2 to 5 years.
• You are fluent in both English and Dutch or French, both spoken and written.

• You have the ability to understand and assess complex R&D projects, scientific methodologies, and technical feasibility;
• You are proficient with the use of (Gen)AI tools for research, writing, and problem-solving;
• You have programming experience and are comfortable with at least one programming language (preferably Python) for data analysis or automation.

Our team in Hyderabad consists of professionals dealing with Corporate Income Tax compliance, pan-European Indirect Tax compliance, Statutory Accounting and general Project Management (including Engagement Coordination and Business Development).
