Facilities Maintenance Technician

Job Summary
We are currently seeking a highly motivated and skilled Facilities Maintenance Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have previous experience in the maintenance field and a strong work ethic.

Key Responsibilities:

• Run the daily maintenance operations of the property and buildings.
• Inspect property and buildings for life/safety issues and take immediate corrective action and inform the line manager.
• Identify building maintenance needs, prioritize work and take corrective actions and take manager Approval.
• Be a self starter and work independently in the absence of supervision.
• Perform a full range of skilled building maintenance for extended periods of time.
• Repair and maintain a variety of mechanical equipment.
• Maintain a Clean work area.
• Assists contractors for any requirements the company required.
• Perform preventative maintenance on buildings including but not limited to: skilled carpentry, Electrical, painting, plastering, dry walling, plumbing, heating, limited air conditioning and basic Mechanical repair work, door hardware, keying, exit and emergency lighting.
• Repair electrical switches, outlets, lighting systems and fixtures.
• Perform advance level plumbing work including the installation, repair and replacement of Plumbing fixtures including sinks, toilets, faucets, water heaters and pipes; clear obstructions from Water and sewer lines.
• Perform adequate level of carpentry work including the repair ofstairs, handrails, trim, walls, Windows, siding, doors and other work.
• Inspect building facilities to identify building maintenance needs.
• Preventive maintenance reports, recommend, prioritize and perform corrective maintenance required.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Minimum of 2 years experience in a maintenance role, preferably in a commercial or residential setting
• Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, and HVAC systems
• Strong problem-solving and time management skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Must be able to lift up to 50lbs and perform physically demanding tasks
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
