Corning’s Display Technologies segment manufactures glass substrates for active matrix liquid crystal displays (“LCDs”) that are used primarily in LCD televisions, notebook computers and flat panel desktop monitors.
Day to Day Responsibilities
• Manage the Request-to-Pay (RTP) process and ensure compliance with procurement policies, procedures, approval requirements, and internal controls.
• Partner with internal customers to understand business requirements, develop sourcing approaches, and execute RFIs, RFQs, and competitive bidding activities.
• Analyze supplier quotations, negotiate commercial terms and conditions, and support supplier selection decisions based on quality, cost, delivery, and business requirements.
• Manage overall supply status and proactively coordinate with suppliers and stakeholders to ensure timely delivery and uninterrupted supply for manufacturing operations.
• Manage purchase order execution and resolve procurement-related issues throughout the order lifecycle, including specification changes, pricing discrepancies, delivery concerns, quality issues, and supplier performance issues.
• Draft, negotiate, administer, and maintain procurement contracts and agreements through approved procurement systems.
• Manage supplier performance in quality, cost, delivery, service, and compliance, and support supplier audits and corrective action initiatives when required.
• Maintain supplier master data, item master data, and procurement records to ensure data accuracy, completeness, and compliance requirements.
• Coordinate receiving, invoice reconciliation, and payment-related activities with suppliers, warehouse, finance, and internal customers to ensure timely transaction closure.
• Lead sourcing activities for assigned MRO categories, including supplier development, supplier qualification, supplier consolidation, competitive bidding, and cost reduction initiatives to achieve procurement and business objectives.
• Collaborate with global, regional, and site procurement teams to provide effective procurement support and perform other duties assigned by the supervisor.
Education & Experience
• Bachelor’s degree, major in business administration, engineering or other related
• 3-5 years’ experience in indirect purchasing area is preferred
Required Skills
• Purchasing experiences in a multinational company
• Good negotiation skills
• Sourcing experiences
• Contract management experiences
• English in oral and written are workable
Desired Skills & Soft Skill
• Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) experiences (SAP, Oracle, PeopleSoft……)
• Problem solving and analytical skills
• Material supply management experience is preferred
