Technology Business Lead Analyst, Vice President (Cash Equities)

Role Summary:
This is a Business Analyst position responsible for running the analysis and managing the Cash Equities Front Office projects end to end. The primary responsibility is to analyze complex business requirements, translate them into clear functional requirements, and drive the development of technology solutions. This role involves the continuous engagement with multiple stakeholder groups that shape the strategic direction of our leading Cash Low Touch trading platforms.
As a key member of the Global Cash Equities Low Touch team, you will collaborate closely with the multiple team, including Product team, Trading desk, Production Support to build & enhance our strategically important platforms in a fast-paced Equities Front Office environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Business Analysis & Requirements Definition:
- Partner directly with the Product team & Front Office trading business to conduct detailed requirement analysis, define project scope, and map dependencies.
- Elicit, document, and validate clear functional requirements and business rules.
- Liaise between business users and technology teams to document requirements in a detailed, logical, and understandable way.
Stakeholder Management & Project Delivery:
- Engage frequently with stakeholders across Front Office, Middle Office, Finance, Compliance, and Risk to ensure alignment and clarity.
- Support the end-to-end delivery of critical projects, including business discretionary, mandatory, and regulatory initiatives.
- Facilitate project-related meetings, providing clear status updates on analysis progress, risks, and issues.
- Support the Business by producing clear release notes and overseeing the creation of user acceptance test cases.
Solution & Process Improvement:
- Collaborate with technology partners to devise effective solutions that meet business needs for complex, high-volume applications.
- Contribute to the strategic formulation of the product roadmap, development processes, and governance standards.
- Identify opportunities for business process improvements and automation initiatives.
Risk & Compliance:
- Appropriately assess risk when decisions are made, with particular consideration of safeguarding of Citigroup, its clients, and assets.
Qualifications and Experience:
Required:
- In-depth knowledge of the end-to-end functionality of Cash Equities Electronic Execution platforms, from client connectivity and pre-trade controls through to market data processing, algorithmic routing, and final market access.
- 6-10 years of dedicated experience in business analysis or systems analysis focused on electronic trading systems within financial services.
- A proven track record of delivering technology projects for electronic trading systems across the full lifecycle.
- Solid understanding of the electronic trade life cycle, from order inception and smart order routing to exchange interaction and post-trade processing.
- Deep knowledge of market microstructure, order types, exchange protocols (e.g., FIX), pre-trade controls, and the associated compliance and regulatory landscape.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and negotiation skills.
- Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities in a complex, multi-stakeholder environment.
Preferred:
- Experience delivering regulatory/exchange mandatory projects in the electronic trading space.
- In-depth knowledge of algorithmic trading strategies and their underlying logic.
- Experience with Transaction Cost Analysis (TCA) and execution performance metrics.
- Experience with planning and requirements management tools (e.g., JIRA, Confluence).
- Knowledge of the key functions and processes of Delta 1 businesses.
- Familiarity with data analysis tools and AI models for analyzing large trading datasets.
