We're looking for a proactive Jr Buyer to join our Global Project Procurement team. This role is perfect for someone ready to grow within the supply chain world while managing purchase orders, supplier relationships, and operational excellence. You’ll play a key part in identifying risks, escalating shortages, supporting ESG initiatives, and driving continuous improvement across global projects. The Project Procurement Jr Buyer supports global project procurement operations by executing purchasing tasks, managing supplier relationships, and ensuring compliance with internal policies. This role goes beyond transactional buying by actively managing procurement risks, forecasting shortages, and contributing to ESG initiatives. The Jr Buyer will collaborate with internal stakeholders and suppliers to drive timely, cost-effective, and sustainable procurement outcomes.

In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

  • Issue and manage Purchase Orders (POs) to NI suppliers.
  • Convert requisitions into POs and manage them through closure.
  • Confirm delivery dates and update them in the system.
  • Follow up on purchasing cases within SLA, ensuring timely updates and communication.
  • Resolve receiving and billing inconsistencies in collaboration with accounts payable.
  • Execute the supplier’s onboarding process.
  • Manage supplier relationships in alignment with sourcing managers and key stakeholders.
  • Provide input to sourcing managers regarding supplier performance.
  • Collaborate with business units (Transportation, semiconductor, Aerospace & Government, R&D and others).
  • Address procurement quality issues and implement preventive actions.
  • Ensure compliance with procurement procedures and P2P policy.
  • Escalate critical issues such as shortages, cancellations and supplier delays.
  • Identify and manage procurement risks, proposing mitigation strategies.
  • Support forecasting activities to anticipate long-term shortages and supply risk.
  • Participate in ESG initiatives by promoting sustainable and responsible sourcing.
  • Track and report procurement KPI’s (PO Cycle time, supplier responsiveness, On time Delivery).
  • Contribute to continuous improvement processes and tools.
  • Collaborate with global teams to ensure consistent procurement execution across regions.

For This Role, You Will Need:

  • Bachelor’s degree in progress (minimum 90% completion) or completed in Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, International Commerce or related fields
  • Advanced English communication skills - verbal and written
  • Ability to prioritize, multitask and quickly switch context
  • stakeholder management in a matrix/global environment
  • Proficient in MS Excel, Power Point, and Word
  • Strong interpersonal skills to interact with team members (global), internal customers
  • Ability to exercise good judgment when making decisions, aligned with company values
  • Passion for continuous improvement
  • ERP experience is a plus (Oracle preferred)
