The Opportunity
Ulteig and its affiliated companies are hiring for a Resource Specialist to support the allocation and optimization of resources within our Ulteig Lifeline Sectors. This position will play a key role in bridging our resource management strategy with new system workflows, ensuring data quality, and helping our teams deliver projects efficiently across the Power Lifeline Sector.
The Resource Specialist will work closely with the Technical and Project Management teams to maintain accurate project staffing plans, monitor demand and capacity, and provide timely updates and insights on resource alignment in Ulteig’s Planview-based resource planning environment.

What You’ll Do
Evaluate project timelines and resource constraints to ensure the efficient allocation of resources across all projects related to Ulteig's Power Lifeline Sector.
Partner with technical leaders and project managers to identify resource gaps, overallocation, and future project resourcing needs.
Maintain a comprehensive overview of available resources, ensuring their availability for projects.
Track and report on resource utilization, analyzing data, and providing suggestions for resource optimization to leaders and team members.
Act as a subject matter expert on current and future resource management tools, supporting project teams in project staffing, forecasting, and capacity planning.
Maintain and validate data in current and future resource management tools, ensuring alignment with project timelines, WBS structures, and budgeted labor plans.
Support the development of future resource management workflows, data dictionaries, and process documentation specific to resource planning.
Assist in training users on resource tools and Ulteig-specific procedures.
Monitor and report on key metrics such as forecast accuracy, resource utilization, and staffing fulfillment.
Contribute to process improvements in resource planning and project controls tied to Planview.
Additional duties may include tasks beyond what is listed, such as special projects, assisting colleagues, or new initiatives. A willingness to adapt to changing priorities and support team efforts enhances collaboration and growth opportunities.
What We Expect from You
Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, project management, operations, or related field (or equivalent experience).
2+ years of experience in resource management, project controls, or systems support roles.
Experience with Planview, MS Project, Procore or other similar tools required.
Strong data management and Excel skills required; experience with Power BI a plus.
Clear communicator with the ability to bridge business and team needs and technical systems.
Highly organized with strong attention to detail and a proactive mindset.
Demonstrated ability to collaborate across departments in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to work well under pressure and adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.
Ability to work in a hybrid schedule: 3 days in the office, 2 days from home.
Must possess strong verbal and written English communication skills (CEFR level B2–C1). You should be comfortable articulating complex ideas and collaborating effectively within a global professional environment.
Must have authorization to work legally in Costa Rica for any employer.
