Senior Cyber Security Engineer

Ciklum is looking for a Senior Cyber Security Engineer to join our team full-time in the Czech Republic.

About the role:

As a Senior Cyber Security Engineer, become a part of a cross-functional development team engineering experiences of tomorrow.

Client protects connected vehicles, mobility services, and supporting digital ecosystems through its cybersecurity platform. We are seeking a Tier 2 SOC Analyst based in Europe to join our global managed services team (spanning Israel, US, and Europe) to ensure 24/7 operational coverage. In this role, your daily focus will center around Tier 2 incident investigations, creating detailed reports, following playbooks and communicating directly with global automotive clients.

Responsibilities:

• Perform Tier 2 investigations and response for escalated vehicle and API security alerts across connected automotive ecosystems
• Execute, maintain, and refine investigation playbooks, operational procedures, and response workflows
• Investigate complex API threats, including authorization abuse, credential attacks, injection, data exposure, and business-logic abuse
• Analyze suspicious vehicle telemetry, API activity, and authentication logs to identify root causes and mitigation steps
• Conduct proactive threat hunting and OSINT investigations to identify emerging automotive and API attack patterns
• 3+ years of experience in SOC operations, Tier 2 incident response, or security investigations
• Strong practical expertise in API security (REST, OAuth, JWT, OWASP API Top 10) and hands-on investigation of API threats
• Proven experience in customer-facing analyst roles (MSSP, consulting, or professional services context)
• Fluent verbal and written English with excellent communication skills
• Practical experience using AI tools via prompt engineering
• Basic scripting experience with Python or SQL for data verification and log analysis
