Objective

For the vacant position of "HSE Specialist" we are looking for a colleague with experience in the field of OSH for Nemak Czech Republic s.r.o. and its joint venture STARCAM s.r.o., who likes challenges, knows how to bring long-term projects to a successful conclusion, and can argue for individual improvements and identified shortcomings. We are looking for a person who is willing to learn new things, has an open mind without prejudice, and is able to work with a large team of people - colleagues, managers, operators. Knowledge of laws and other regulations in the field of HSE is a matter of course. Our plants have long been certified according to ISO 14001, 45001, and 50001.

Main Responsibilities

• Management of the OSH system, Fire Protection within the OSH team
• Participation in the creation and updating of OSH documentation, Fire Protection
• Implementation of initial and repeated OSH training, Fire protection in cooperation with the HR department
• Monitoring and evaluating compliance with OSH principles and Fire Protection in production facilities and workplaces
• Open communication with employees focused on spreading good practice, correct behavior and improving safety culture
• Supervision of the process of ensuring the safety of machines and equipment
• Implementation of risk analyses, solving emergency preparedness issues, work ergonomics
• Planning and conducting internal audits
• Ensuring the occupational hygiene agenda, including measuring risk factors for job categorization,
• Maintaining the agenda of occupational accidents, emergencies and near misses
• Monitoring and evaluating safety indicators and reporting to plant management and superiors outside the Czech Republic
• Negotiations with state administration bodies, auditors, insurance company representatives
• Ability to make decisions and take responsibility for assigned processes
• Technical focus for cooperation with other departments (maintenance, Facility, technology, Logistics, ...)

Position Requirements

• Secondary or university education
• Knowledge of English min. B2 (oral and written communication with foreign colleagues required)
• User knowledge of MS Office tools
• Knowledge of current applicable legislation and standards in the areas of OHS and Fire Protection
• Knowledge of ISO 14001, ISO 45001, ISO 50001 standards and ability to apply them
• A person professionally qualified in risk prevention is a requirement
• A person professionally qualified in PO is an advantage, not a requirement
• Knowledge of obligations and legislation in the area of the environment and handling of chemical substances is an advantage, not a requirement
• Diligence, analytical thinking, conceptual approach, innovative skills (e.g. 6-sigma approach, TPM, Kaizen, 5S, ...),
• Ability to make decisions and take responsibility for assigned processes
• Technical focus for cooperation with other departments (maintenance, Facility, technology, Logistics, ...)
