Become part of our Digital Industries Motion Control team. In your role as Strategic Buyer (f/m/d) for casting, machining and additive manufacturing, you will optimize material and product costs, ensure material availability, and create transparency across the supplier base and cost development.

You’ll make an impact by

  • Develop and implement global commodity and supplier strategies for aluminum castings, steel castings, forgings, 3D-printed parts, and machined components
  • Conduct international tenders as well as price and contract negotiations
  • Take responsibility for cost, quality, delivery, and sustainability targets
  • Analyze global sourcing markets and identify new suppliers
  • Drive cost reduction, resourcing, and supplier development projects
  • Perform supplier evaluations, audits, and escalation management activities

This is how you'll win us over

  • Education
  • Degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Business Administration, or a comparable field
  • Experience & Skills
  • Extensive professional experience in strategic procurement, ideally in an international environment
  • Sound knowledge of casting, forging, CNC machining, and additive manufacturing processes
  • Experience in international supplier management as well as price and contract negotiations
  • Proficient in SAP and Microsoft 365 applications
  • Experience in analyzing global sourcing markets and implementing cost reduction and supplier development projects
  • Ways of working
  • Strategic and analytical approach to developing global commodity and supplier strategies
  • Self-driven, results-oriented, and structured way of working with a strong focus on cost, quality, delivery, and sustainability targets
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills with a collaborative mindset when working with international stakeholders and suppliers

  • Business fluent in German and English, both written and spoken
