As a Junior IT Operations Technician within the IT Support team, your primary goal will be to provide support across various departments while learning and growing alongside experienced team members. This role is a fantastic opportunity to build your IT career in a supportive environment, balancing hands-on support tasks with learning opportunities in processes that are AI assisted, on-premises infrastructure, and company services. You will work closely with and receive mentorship from key teams including IT Support, CyberSecurity, Compliance, Business Operations, and Office Management.
𝗬𝗢𝗨𝗥 𝗥𝗔𝗠𝗣-𝗨𝗣 𝗝𝗢𝗨𝗥𝗡𝗘𝗬
In your first month, you will get onboarded and become familiar with our existing IT infrastructure and processes, supported every step of the way by your mentor and team. You will start engaging with various teams to understand their IT needs and begin assisting with routine support issues as they arise.
After six months, you will have gained hands-on experience supporting internal IT projects, operational tasks and handling L1/L2 technical support with increasing confidence. You will be well-versed in our day-to-day operations and technologies, continuing to expand your knowledge of security frameworks like ISO27001 and SOC2 in a collaborative, team-oriented setting.
𝗞𝗘𝗬 𝗥𝗘𝗦𝗣𝗢𝗡𝗦𝗜𝗕𝗜𝗟𝗜𝗧𝗜𝗘𝗦
● Provide L1 technical support for hardware, software, accounts, connectivity, and workplace technology.
● Assist with L2 support activities under the guidance of experienced team members.
● Record, prioritize, update, and resolve requests using the company’s IT service management platform.
● Escalate complex or security-sensitive issues to the appropriate team.
● Prepare, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot Windows, macOS, and Linux devices.
● Assist with employee onboarding, offboarding, access management, and equipment delivery.
● Support software deployment, operating-system updates, patching, and endpoint-management activities.
● Maintain accurate asset records and internal technical documentation.
● Assist with the implementation of new technologies and internal IT projects.
● Follow established security procedures and help maintain ISO 27001 and SOC2 controls.
● Identify recurring issues and suggest improvements to support processes and documentation.
● Knowledge-management oriented to keep our execution and results consistent
𝗤𝗨𝗔𝗟𝗜𝗙𝗜𝗖𝗔𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡𝗦
● Demonstrable experience with operating systems maintenance (Windows, Linux, and MacOS) including patch management and technical troubleshooting
● Up to two years of experience in IT support, including internships, vocational training, or equivalent hands-on experience
● Interest or basic skills in scripting (Bash, Powershell) to automate everyday tasks.
● Foundational understanding of computer networking principles
● Strong communication skills and a customer-focused approach
𝗗𝗘𝗦𝗜𝗥𝗔𝗕𝗟𝗘 / 𝗡𝗜𝗖𝗘 𝗧𝗢 𝗛𝗔𝗩𝗘
● Familiarity with ISO27001 and/or SOC2 would be a plus. Knowledge of compliance platforms like Vanta will be accounted for.
● General understanding of ITSM concepts and troubleshooting workflows.
● Basic understanding of RMM & MDM technologies (NinjaOne, Jamf, Crowdstrike)
● Familiarity with workplace platforms such as Google Workspace, Jira, or Confluence Experience with Atlassian products.
● Being used to automation processes and tools like N8N, IFTTT.
