Your mission in our team as an ERTMS Software Engineer, you will be the technical expert configuring and designing wayside ERTMS equipment for national and international Main Line projects.
Your work ensures trains move safely and automatically, preventing collisions using the latest railway failsafe technology.
You’ll make a difference by
- Acting as the technical expert for ETCS sub-system functional behavior, engineering rules, and data preparation.
- Engineering the ETCS specific configuration based on precise project requirements.
- Creating and maintaining ETCS software while ensuring delivery within budget and planned milestones.
- Supporting testing, verification, and safety teams with software configuration and log analysis.
- Driving all phases of the ATC application engineering cycle, from requirements specification to commissioning.
Your success is grounded in
- A Degree in Engineering, Telecommunications, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Solid experience in the Rail Signaling business, specifically with ATC technologies (ERTMS, ASFA).
- Extensive knowledge of SUBSET 026, 039, and 040, alongside CENELEC standards and V-life Cycle models.
- Strong analytical skills for requirements analysis and advanced data handling (Microsoft Excel, VBA).
- Fluency in English and Spanish to thrive in international projects with distributed, multidisciplinary teams.
You’ll thrive even more if you also bring
Experience working with mixed ERTMS L1 and L2 systems or trackside software data.
Basic knowledge of interlocking systems and configuration management tools (Subversion, PVCS).
Programming skills in Python or similar languages.
