PROPOSED SALARY RANGE: £32,404 + London Weighting (£3,265 ) depending on relevant skills, knowledge and experience. The expected salary range for this role reflects internal benchmarking and external market insights.

The Executive Assistant plays a critical role in maximising the effectiveness of the CEO and supporting the successful delivery of the Global Channels & Streaming strategy.

The role exercises considerable autonomy and judgement, influencing business outcomes through effective prioritisation, stakeholder management, governance support and strategic execution. The postholder is viewed as a trusted partner to the CEO, combining executive support, business management and leadership team coordination to enable organisational effectiveness across a global business.

YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND IMPACT :

  • Provide comprehensive executive support to the CEO, managing a complex diary, priorities and competing demands in a fast-paced global environment.
  • Act as a trusted partner and gatekeeper, ensuring the CEO's time and focus are aligned to strategic and commercial priorities.
  • Coordinate domestic and international travel, meetings, briefings and leadership engagements, ensuring seamless planning and execution.
  • Prepare high-quality briefing papers, presentations, reports and executive communications to support decision-making and business delivery.
  • Support the delivery of strategic priorities by monitoring actions, tracking progress and coordinating follow-up across the leadership team.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with senior stakeholders across BBC Studios, the BBC and external partner organisations.
  • Act as an ambassador for the CEO's office, managing sensitive matters with professionalism, discretion and sound judgement.
  • Facilitate effective communication and collaboration between senior leaders, executive offices and cross-functional teams.
  • Coordinate leadership meetings, governance forums and key business events, ensuring clear actions, accountability and outcomes.
  • Support business planning, performance reviews and organisational initiatives by gathering, analysing and presenting relevant information.
  • Manage operational and administrative activities, including financial approvals, expenses, document management and compliance processes.
  • Work closely with Finance, HR, Legal, Communications and other specialist teams to support the successful delivery of business objectives and projects.

YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE :

ESSENTIAL CRITERIA :

  • Significant experience supporting a CEO, Managing Director, President or equivalent senior executive.
  • Proven success operating as a Senior Executive Assistant, Executive Business Partner or equivalent role.
  • Exceptional organisational, planning and diary management skills.
  • Experience operating within a complex, fast-moving and high-profile environment.
  • Experience preparing executive-level reports, briefings and presentations.
  • Experience supporting global businesses and international leadership teams.
  • Experience supporting Board, Executive Committee or Governance forums.

DESIRED NOT REQUIRED :

  • Experience within media, broadcasting, streaming or entertainment sectors, preferably BBC experience.
  • Project management and business management experience or qualifications.
  • Knowledge of BBC Studios and international media markets.
  • Ability to manage highly confidential and sensitive information with discretion.
  • Excellent project coordination and organisational capability.
  • Advanced Microsoft Office and collaboration tool proficiency.
  • Ability to work independently and exercise sound judgement.
