Manufacturing Lead

Position Summary

As a Manufacturing Lead, you play a key leadership role within the department, serving as a connection between production associates, Supervisors, and upper management. This is a hands-on lead position responsible for helping coordinate daily production activities, communicating priorities, and supporting associates on the production floor.

The Manufacturing Lead focuses on maintaining product quality, meeting customer specifications, and achieving department efficiency and productivity goals. In addition to providing hands-on direction to associates, this role coordinates tasks, demonstrates job instructions to new and temporary team members, and may occasionally provide coverage for Assistant Supervisors and Supervisors as needed.

Shift & Pay

1st Shift: 9:00 AM – 5:30 PM
Pay Rate: $17.50 per hour

Peak season schedule may vary based on business needs.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Monitor, guide, and motivate associates to support daily productivity and performance expectations
  • Demonstrate job instructions and proper processes to new and temporary team members
  • Evaluate incoming orders and help organize production workflow accordingly
  • Coordinate and delegate tasks within assigned production areas
  • Communicate department priorities, workflow updates, and operational needs to team members
  • Collaborate and communicate effectively within the department and with other departments throughout the organization
  • Reassign or regroup associates within assigned areas to maximize individual strengths and support production needs
  • Provide timely and constructive feedback to team members
  • Identify production line problems and report or assist in resolving issues promptly
  • Help maintain product quality and ensure customer specifications are followed
  • Foster a positive work environment focused on teamwork, accountability, and high-performance expectations
  • Maintain a safe, clean, organized, and fully operational work environment
  • Provide coverage and additional leadership support when needed

Qualifications

Qualifications & Skills

  • Minimum of 1 year of manufacturing experience
  • Strong attention to detail and sense of urgency
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to train, guide, and provide direction to team members
  • Strong prioritization and organizational skills
  • Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced production environment
  • Basic computer and office software proficiency
  • Ability to remain patient, focused, and professional in high-pressure situations
  • High school diploma or GED preferred
  • Bilingual English/Spanish preferred

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs
  • Ability to perform hands-on work within a production environment

Additional Information

Additional duties, responsibilities, and skills may be required based on individual department needs.

The expected salary range for this position is $17.50 hourly. Actual compensation will be determined based on experience, skills, internal equity, and other factors permitted by law.
