On behalf of PublishingTech Client #1, SD Solutions is looking for a talented QA Automation professional to take ownership of our automated testing and help us build reliable coverage for the most important user flows in our product.
The main focus of this role is end-to-end (E2E) and UI testing automation. You’ll work closely with the product and development teams to identify critical flows, build and maintain automated tests, and make sure new releases work as expected.
We’re also looking for someone who is comfortable using modern AI tools such as Claude to work faster, troubleshoot issues, write tests, and improve the overall QA automation workflow.

Responsibilities:
- Write and maintain E2E automated tests for critical product flows.
- Build and expand our UI automation coverage using Playwright.
- Test real user journeys across different parts of the product.
- Identify which scenarios should be automated and prioritize the highest-impact flows.
- Create reliable tests that are easy to understand, maintain, and debug.
- Investigate failed tests and determine whether the issue is with the product or the test itself.
- Reduce flaky tests and continuously improve the stability of the automation suite.
- Run automated tests as part of our release and development processes.
- Work closely with developers and product managers to understand new features and define the right test coverage.
- Use Claude and other AI tools as part of your workflow to help create tests, debug failures, explore edge cases, and improve automation.
- Identify bugs and product issues uncovered through automated and exploratory testing.
- Help establish better QA automation practices across the team.
Requirements:
- Hands-on experience writing E2E tests.
- Strong experience with UI test automation.
- Experience working with Playwright or a similar browser automation framework.
- Good understanding of web applications, browsers, DOM elements, selectors, and user interactions.
- Ability to write clear, maintainable automated tests.
- Comfortable debugging failed and flaky tests.
- Experience working with Claude, AI coding assistants, or similar tools and the ability to use them effectively in day-to-day work.
- Basic programming knowledge in TypeScript or JavaScript.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to think through different user scenarios and edge cases.
- Ability to work independently and take ownership of automation coverage.
Advantages:

- Experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience with API testing.
- Familiarity with Git and GitHub.
- Experience testing SaaS or complex web applications.
- Experience using AI tools to generate, review, debug, or improve automated tests.
- Understanding of test architecture, fixtures, test data, and reusable automation components.
