Chubb launched its third Engineering Center in Thessaloniki in 2022. Our rapidly expanding new Chubb Engineering Center in Greece (CECG) is integrated with the Engineering Centers in India and Mexico to support our global technology needs and digital business transformation, as well as the company's operations in the Europe - Middle East - Africa region operating in 27 countries.

Currently, we are looking for an Associate Application Support Engineer to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Report to the PRS Production support team lead, work within the PRS Enhancements and Application Support Team to deliver small to medium sized application enhancements changes; manage Incidents, Problem and Service Request ticket resolutions within agreed SLAs for Level 1.5, Level 2 and Level 3 Application Support.
  • Complete and publish RCA (Root Cause Analysis) reports for all P1 and P2 Incidents on CGM systems.
  • Make code changes for any enhancements and problem tickets identified in SQL or Java
  • Manage and run regular and routine system jobs and processes to support the BAU business operation.
  • Manage and run BAU system jobs and processes for mandatory regulatory reporting.
  • Automate the running and maintenance of manual system jobs and processes.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors and other Chubb teams to be able to provide effective and efficient Application Support
  • Liaise with Third Party Software Suppliers

Qualifications:

  • 1 to 2 years of enterprise Java experience
  • Ability to create and integrate APIs with the legacy systems
  • Spring technologies – Spring MVC, Spring Boot
  • DevOps integration e.g. GitHub, Jenkins pipeline, Sonar, Nexus, Ansible, Maven
  • JEE application server experience (e.g. Tomcat, WebSphere, WebLogic)
  • JPA / Hibernate
  • JSP, JavaScript, CSS, Ajax
  • Web Services – SOAP and RESTful
  • Ability to investigate and debug multi-tier applications using STS or Eclipse, Chrome developer tools, remote debug
  • Unit/integration testing experience, e.g. JUnit, Mockito
  • A depth and breadth of experience in leading the successful delivery of structured and best practice Application Support to formal SLAs.
  • Strong personal drive and initiative to deliver successfully with minimal direction.
  • Strong relationship building, team working and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience continually innovating, transforming, and improving cost and delivery efficiency.
  • Proficiency in MS SQL Server (Integrated Services, Reporting Services & Analysis Services), Java, MS Access and Excel
  • Database schema design/tuning experience including tables, views, stored procedures etc., using Microsoft SQL Server or similar
  • Spring Security: OAuth2 / Integration
  • Experience on Java8 or later version
  • JQuery experience
  • Gradle / Maven dependency management experience
  • Jenkins or similar continuous integration tool experience
  • Cloud Architecture e.g. Azure, AWS
