As a Prime Government Contractor for the Navy, we are currently searching for a talented Electronics Technician in Guam

About the Job

This position will serve as the primary executor of maintenance, repair, and lifecycle support for Enterprise Land Mobile Radio (ELMR) and Electronic Security Systems (ESS) infrastructure as defined in this PWS. Also this position will be the primary executor of maintenance, repair, and lifecycle support for LMR and ESS.

Job Requirements

  • ensure the continuous, reliable operation of all JRM ESS components, including Intrusion Detection Systems (IDS), Access Control Systems (ACS), and Video Surveillance Systems(VSS).
  • execute a scheduled preventative maintenance program to ensure system reliability and mitigate environmental degradation
  • performing corrosion control, load testing backup power systems, and calibrating detection sensors in accordance with OEM and DoD standards.
  • troubleshoot, diagnose, repair or replace failed ESS field and head-end components
  • responsible for maintaining system integrity through proper wiring repair and application of authorized software/firmware patches.
  • ensure the operational readiness and lifecycle management of the JRM LMR subscriber fleet and supporting RF infrastructure.
  • manage the entire lifecycle of LMR subscriber units.
  • maintaining and deploying approved codeplugs
  • performing preventative maintenance checks and tuning using calibrated service monitors
  • execute a battery conditioning program to ensure fleet readiness.
  • ensure all LMR tower and repeater sites are maintained in a state of operational readiness
  • conduct and document monthly inspections to verify compliance with Motorola R56 grounding standards and ensuring the suitability of site environmental systems (HVAC, generators).
  • perform the professional installation of mobile radio systems in government vehicles
  • maintain 100% accountability of all LMR assets through regular inventories and shall process all asset documentation for turn-in or disposal.
  • provide recommendations for permanent engineering solutions to prevent recurrence.
  • Maintain complete confidentiality and the highest ethical standards in these matters, as related to the performance of this contract.

Required Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent experience
  • U.S Citizenship and a Secret Clearance is required.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in LMR/ESS installation
  • Certified/Trained in Motorola R56 Standards
  • Experience with Lenel and Milestone systems

Required Certifications

  • CompTIA Security+ CE

AND

  • ETA-CET (Certified Electronics Technician) or equivalent industry certification
