Overview

The Jr. Recruiter focuses on supporting the recruitment team in finding and hiring talent. This includes sourcing candidates, screening resumes, scheduling interviews, and assisting with onboarding. Junior Recruiters also manage the applicant tracking system and work with hiring managers to ensure a smooth hiring process.

Responsibilities

  • Sourcing Candidates: Using various online channels and networking to identify potential candidates.
  • Screening Applications: Reviewing resumes and applications to identify qualified candidates.
  • Interview Coordination: Scheduling interviews between candidates and hiring managers.
  • Applicant Tracking System (ATS): Maintaining and updating the ATS with candidate information.
  • Administrative Support: Assisting with various administrative tasks, such as posting job ads and coordinating background checks.
  • Onboarding: Supporting the onboarding process for new hires.
  • Communication: Effectively communicating with candidates to provide updates and feedback

Qualifications

Education/Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent: Minimum requirement.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred: In Human Resources, Communications, Business, or related field.
  • Some experience in recruiting or HR: Ideally, 2-3 years of experience, including both in-house and/or agency experience.

Competencies:

  • Ability to engage in open, honest conversations with members of the Senior Management Team, peers, and junior colleagues when discussing project performance, risks, and issues
  • Strong communication skills: Both verbal and written.
  • Organization and time management: Juggling multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Familiarity with HR systems and technology: Applicant tracking systems, Microsoft Office, etc.
  • Knowledge of recruitment practices: Sourcing techniques, interviewing skills, and relevant laws.
  • Ability to work in a team: Collaborating with senior recruiters and hiring managers.
  • Strong interpersonal skills: Building relationships with candidates and hiring managers.
  • Attention to detail: Ensuring accuracy in all aspects of the recruitment process.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers. While

performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee

frequently is required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to point, handle or feel; and reach with hands and

arms. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, and ability to adjust focus.

This is a full time position. Employee must be able to travel up to 20%.
