Deputy Manager - Cylinder Head Machining

Responsibilities & Key Deliverables

  • Experience in CNC machining centers, transfer lines, HMC's, VMC's and special purpose machines.
  • Good Process knoledge about Engine block & Cylinder Head Machining.
  • Hands on experience on cylinder bore honning process & trouble shooting to achieve all quality parameters
  • Awareness and knowledge of latest technology changes in cutting tool materials and its geometries.
  • Lead process improvement projects focused on productivity, cycle time reduction and cost optimization through use of alternate new technology.
  • New model Machining set up, line setup and ramp up.
  • Capacity improvements through debottlenecking and improvements.
  • Drive reduction of internal rejection & rework and customer complaints through zero rejection concept system implementation.
  • Interaction with all support functions and concern resolution with the help of CFT.
  • Develop improvement & safe working culture.
  • Supports audits related to IATF16949, ISO14001, TMW and its adherence through review.
  • Exposure of TPM iImplementation in Machining.
  • Driving tool cost reduction, Power cost Reduction and productivity improvement projects.
  • Benchmark best practices across other plants and industry for manufacturing excellence.
  • Knowledge of DCP, PFMEA, Control Plan, GD&T, SPC, MSA.
  • Drive Productivity through regular reviews for indicators like OLE, OEE.
  • Hands on experience to handle different CNC controls systems - Fanuc, Seimens, Mazatrol
  • Participate in safety audits and risk assessment activities.
  • Drive skill matrix development and training plans along with employee engagement
