We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Analyst.

In this role, you will:

  • The UMR Valuations Team is part of the Collateral and Credit Risk Management team within Markets and Securities Services Operations.
  • The Team is responsible for the calculation, completeness and accuracy of Regulatory Initial Margin that HSBC must collect when trading Over-the-Counter Derivatives bilaterally, as required by the BCBC 261 regulations.
  • The purpose of the role is to support the full scope of day-to-day activities to ensure HSBC's regulatory compliance, specifically reviewing completeness and accuracy of calculations, investigating and resolving initial margin disputes, testing and implementing changes related to the calculation, and advice on stakeholder requests.

To be successful you will:

  • Experience in market/counterparty risk reporting. Good market risk or/and counterparty risk knowledge.

  • Applicant should be from Investment banking side with good knowledge of financial instruments.

  • Experience in Product control or middle office operations can be considered.

  • Good communication and business writing skills with very good mathematical / statistics skills and MS office.
