Do you have a brief description of this position you would like us to fill?

You deal comprehensively with the Power Management Systems and Substation Automation Systems on offshore / offshore platforms / Chemical Platforms / Utilities to prepare project techno-commercial offers, architect solutions, support implementation, and commissioning of customer projects, besides supporting power automation/PMS library development.

You should have

• Strong understanding of electrical power systems (generation, transmission, distribution and renewables integration)

• Experience with advanced switching, control and monitoring of power system SCADA

• Experience in numerical protection relays’ integration with DCS/SCADA systems

• Proficiency in IEC 61131-3 PLC programming (CFC, FBD, Structured Text, etc.)

• Familiarity and work experience with communication protocols: Modbus, DNP3, IEC 61850 (GOOSE and MMS), OPC UA

• Understanding of Energy Management Systems (EMS) and Battery Management Systems (BMS)

• Hands-on experience in engineering, testing and commissioning of PMS functionality such as load shedding, power source control, hybrid power plant control in conjunction with grid code compliance.

• Good knowledge of grid code compliance, frequency and voltage regulation, ancillary services, reactive power control etc.

Your role extends from engineering of Power Manage to commissioning on-board for the Oil Platforms / ship or Chemical Complex.

How You'll Make an Impact

• Hand-on experience with PCS7, WinCC and Step 7, TIA portal or other equivalent SCADA/Power Management and Substation Automation Systems.

• Knowledge of load flow analysis, fault analysis, and power quality monitoring

• Ability to design and implement control logic for power optimization.

• Experience in Grid Code compliance development in automation system for Different Regions.

• Performance analysis: Collaborate with team to analyze performance data to improve/enhance power system design efficiency and reliability

• Cross-team engagement: Collaborate with cross-functional local and global teams to achieve a binding of power system modeling with PMS control solution and working towards a standardized approach for different architectures or variants.

• Mentorship: Mentor, guide junior engineers and freshers from Universities towards PMS and Substation Automation domain, oversee their deliverables, and ensure work quality.

• Experience in preparing technical documentation and compliance reports

• Ability to manage projects, timelines, and cross-functional teams

• Knowledge of IEEE, IEC, and NEMA standards

You are a graduate in Instrumentation, Electrical or Automation Engineering with consistent track record and relevant experience of at least 10 years in Automation/Electrical Engineering.

Good communication skills, fluency in English. (Written and oral)

Good Team Player & can communicate with Siemens Energy Global Regional Offices.
