Job Identification

We are looking for a Qualified Operator to safely and efficiently operate production equipment and machinery while maintaining the highest standards of quality, productivity, safety, and operational discipline. The role will support the achievement of production targets through effective machine operation, routine inspections, basic troubleshooting, accurate production reporting, continuous improvement, and close collaboration with Production, Quality, Maintenance, and Warehouse teams, located in Hilla Plant.

What to Expect

  • To operate production equipment and machinery safely and efficiently in accordance with approved Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • To perform machine start-up, shutdown, product changeovers, and routine operational checks accurately and on time.
  • To monitor production processes continuously to ensure product quality, operational efficiency, and compliance with approved specifications.
  • To conduct regular equipment inspections and perform basic troubleshooting to identify and resolve minor operational and equipment issues.
  • To record production data accurately, including production output, downtime, material waste, quality results, and other relevant operational information.
  • To comply with all Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE), food safety, and workplace safety requirements.
  • To immediately report equipment malfunctions, safety hazards, quality concerns, and production deviations to the responsible supervisor.
  • To support preventive maintenance activities and coordinate effectively with the Maintenance team when technical assistance is required.
  • To maintain workplace cleanliness, organization, and housekeeping standards in accordance with 5S and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) requirements.
  • To minimize material waste, product rework, equipment downtime, and operational losses through effective process control and good operating practices.
  • To participate in continuous improvement initiatives, problem-solving activities, and operational excellence programs.
  • To train and support new operators when assigned and share technical and operational knowledge with other team members.
  • To ensure the correct and responsible use of production materials, tools, machinery, and other operational resources.
  • To support the achievement of daily production targets, efficiency goals, quality standards, and relevant Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
  • To work collaboratively with Production, Quality, Maintenance, and Warehouse teams to ensure smooth and uninterrupted operations.
  • To perform assigned duties with discipline, accountability, and a strong commitment to safety, quality, productivity, and teamwork.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree, F.Sc., Intermediate qualification, Diploma of Associate Engineering (DAE) in Mechanical Engineering, or an equivalent relevant technical qualification.
  • A minimum of 2–3 years of experience operating production equipment in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
  • Demonstrated technical competence in machine operation, equipment inspections, operational checks, and basic troubleshooting.
  • Good knowledge of production processes, Standard Operating Procedures, and safe equipment operating practices.
  • Knowledge of machine start-up, shutdown, product changeover, and routine operational control procedures.
  • Ability to monitor production processes and identify equipment, quality, safety, or operational deviations.
  • Good understanding of product quality requirements, manufacturing specifications, and quality control practices.
  • Knowledge of Health, Safety, and Environment requirements and the ability to comply with workplace safety procedures.
  • Knowledge of food safety standards and Good Manufacturing Practices is preferred.
  • Familiarity with 5S principles, workplace organization, and housekeeping standards.
  • Ability to accurately record and report production output, equipment downtime, material waste, quality results, and operational issues.
  • Basic problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to identify and resolve minor equipment and process issues.
  • Strong operational excellence and continuous improvement mindset.
  • Quality, safety, and compliance orientation.
  • Ability to minimize production waste, rework, downtime, and operational losses through disciplined equipment operation.
