We are seeking a Senior Product Information Engineer to join our team. The main responsibility of this role is to create, maintain and develop technical information for Wärtsilä 4-stroke engines. The preferred location for this position is Trieste, Italy. We offer the possibility for hybrid work.

Your role and responsibilities
As a Senior Product Information Engineer, you will be responsible for maintaining and developing product configurators, Teamcenter, and other information management systems supporting our 4-stroke engine portfolio. In this role, you will create, manage, and continuously improve technical product information for both customer and internal use, ensuring information accuracy, quality, and availability throughout the product lifecycle.
You will play a key role in developing product information, tools, and processes, while contributing to the continuous improvement of our ways of working and supporting our digitalization journey. Your work will focus on these responsibilities:
- Independently own the maintenance, development, and continuous improvement of product configurators and related data, ensuring high data quality, reliability, and alignment with business needs
- Ensure accurate reporting and documentation of changes, working hours, and related activities to maintain full traceability and support audits and continuous improvement initiatives
- Collaborate with and support engineering, manufacturing, sales, and other stakeholders by providing technical expertise that enables efficient operations and customer value creation
- Serve as a recognized expert in your field by promoting best practices, sharing lessons learned, and driving standardization, innovation, and continuous improvement across Wärtsilä
To be able to succeed in the position, we expect you to have:
- Proven experience in using tools like KnowledgeBuilder, Palma, Tacton, and Teamcenter, as well as similar applications
- Advanced knowledge of LB engine products, systems, business, and customer understanding
- Several years of experience in similar technical information production and development roles
- B.Sc. or M.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering or a similar field
- A goal-focused mindset with the ability to make things happen
- Proficiency in oral and written English
- An analytic and systematic approach to work
- Strong self-management, organizational skills, and quality thinking
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities
- Flexibility and the ability to work both in teams and independently

The annual salary range for this role in Italy is 35 100 EUR – 46 800 EUR in accordance with the salary provisions in the National Collective Labor Agreement for workers in the metalworking and plant installation industry (CCNL Metalmeccanico). At Wärtsilä, we are committed to fair and transparent pay. This range reflects the expected compensation for the role, based on market data and our job architecture. The final salary offered will depend on factors such as the scope and responsibilities of the role, the required competencies, and your relevant education, skills, and experience. We also take internal equity into account to ensure fairness across our organisation.
