We are currently seeking an Electrical Engineer to join our dynamic team in Castel Guelfo (BO), Italy!

The Electrical Engineer is part of the team responsible for designing, developing, testing, and maintaining electrical systems, components, and equipment. This role supports projects from concept through implementation by preparing technical specifications, performing calculations and analysis, reviewing designs, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring compliance with applicable standards, safety requirements, and project objectives.

What kind of work will you be doing?

  • Participate in the design and development process of electronic boards and electrical systems.
  • Prepare technical specifications, design documents, drawings, and engineering reports.
  • Develop schematics using Siemens' Xpedition EDM PCB design software.
  • Layout PCBs using Siemens' Xpedition EDM PCB design software or manage this activity with external collaborators.
  • Perform electrical calculations, simulations, and technical analyses.
  • Review designs to ensure compliance with applicable standards, safety requirements, and project specifications.
  • Support testing, validation, commissioning, and troubleshooting activities.
  • Identify and resolve technical issues during design, manufacturing, installation, or operation.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, suppliers, customers, and project stakeholders.
  • Select electrical components, materials, and equipment based on technical and project requirements.
  • Support risk assessments, product improvements, and corrective actions.
  • Maintain accurate engineering documentation and ensure proper document control.

What will make you successful?

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical field.
  • 1 or 2 years of experience in a similar field.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical engineering principles, systems, and components.
  • Experience with electrical design, analysis, testing, and troubleshooting.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical specifications.
  • Familiarity with electrical simulation, design, or calculation tools.
  • Experience in EDA tool Siemens' Xpedition EDM PCB design software.
  • Understanding power distribution, control systems, circuits, or related electrical applications.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Good attention to detail and accuracy in technical documentation.
  • Ability to work effectively with engineering, manufacturing, quality, suppliers, and customers.
  • Good communication and project coordination skills.
  • Strong in planning, analysis, and communication.
  • Collaborative team player.
  • Maintains a customer-focused approach and is willing to travel as needed.

The anticipated salary range for this role in Castel Guelfo (BO), Italy is between 40.000€ to 48.000€ gross per year (based on a full-time working week). Certain roles may be eligible for variable compensation and benefits. Where applicable, a comprehensive overview of the full benefits package and any additional compensation will be provided during the recruitment process in accordance with local legal requirements. Compensation is determined based on objective, gender-neutral criteria, including skills, experience, and job responsibilities.

The applicable National Collective Bargaining Agreement (CCNL) for this role is Metalmeccanico Industria.
