Global Corporate Banking - Subsidiary Banking, Associate

As a Corporate Banker within the Global Corporate Banking APAC Subsidiary Banking team, you will support the coverage and growth of a defined portfolio of multinational subsidiary clients across the globe. This position requires a role where you will hold ownership of client accounts as a Relationship Manager and provide direct coverage support to Senior Bankers on more complex relationships. You will partner closely with global/regional/in-country bankers, product partners, and middle/back office teams to originate, execute, and ramp client mandates, delivering well-rounded corporate banking coverage across cash management, FX, trade finance, and credit/lending.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for day-to-day relationship management and coverage for a defined portfolio of subsidiary banking clients, including proactive client engagement and responsiveness to client needs.
  • Support Senior Subsidiary Bankers in managing broader/complex client relationships, including meeting preparation, follow-ups, and execution of agreed coverage strategies.
  • Drive disciplined pipeline management for your portfolio: maintain accurate tracking, prioritize opportunities, and progress deals from identification through execution and ramp.
  • Originate and help execute new business opportunities by identifying client needs across the full corporate banking spectrum (cash management, payments, liquidity, FX, trade finance, and credit/lending) and coordinating internal resources to deliver solutions.
  • Act as a key internal coordinator across headquarter/global/regional/in-country bankers, product partners, and middle/back office functions to ensure timely decision-making, approvals, and high-quality client delivery.
  • Lead and/or support onboarding and ramp-up of new business mandates, ensuring clear accountability across stakeholders and strong control of timelines, dependencies, and issue resolution.
  • Prepare relationship reviews and client analyses, including wallet/penetration discussions, pipeline updates, and monitoring of portfolio profitability and ramp progression.
  • Maintain a strong understanding of Know Your Customer (KYC) responsibilities and requirements; support KYC record renewals, coordinate required information, and provide accurate summaries to in-country bankers and relevant stakeholders.
  • Serve as a dependable point of contact for portfolio matters, ensuring consistent communication internally and externally and reinforcing the firm’s standards of client coverage.
  • Through disciplined coverage and pipeline hygiene, identify incremental revenue streams and ensure client requirements are met to the highest standard.

Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:

  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in corporate banking services, relationship management, transaction banking, and/or portfolio management.
  • Well-rounded product knowledge and client coverage capability across corporate banking solutions, including cash management, transactional FX, trade finance, and credit/lending.
  • Excellent communication skills with strong teamwork ability; able to work effectively across global/regional/in-country stakeholders and product partners.
  • Strong organizational, planning, problem-solving, time management, and analytical skills.
  • Meticulous attention to detail with the ability to multi-task and manage competing priorities to meet deadlines and exceed expectations.
  • Proactive self-starter with a strong work ethic, ownership mindset, and desire to learn; able to operate with increasing independence while leveraging senior coverage guidance.
  • Demonstrated professional presence and sound judgment, with the ability to adapt to evolving client and business needs.
  • Proven ability to coordinate across functions to resolve issues efficiently, manage escalations appropriately, and deliver a high-quality client experience.
