Trainee Junior Aircraft Workshop Technician

The programme is designed to build upon your existing knowledge and practical skills and further develop your expertise in aircraft structural maintenance and repair. This training is designed to equip you with the technical skills, knowledge, and competencies required to work effectively in the dynamic aviation environment. It will enable you to develop the fullest capabilities required to become an efficient and productive member of the SriLankan Airlines family. You will undergo a structured training programme spanning a period of one year. The programme will further develop your technical knowledge and practical skills and prepare you for a career as a Junior Aircraft Workshop Technician.

Requirements

Minimum three year full time trade course in Structures, in any of the following fields: Machinist (General), Machinist, Millwright Fitter or Welding.

And

6 passes at GCE O/L with 4 Credit passes (or equivalent) including credits for English, Mathematics and Science obtained in one sitting. The credit for English may be obtained in any sitting.

Be a Sri Lankan citizen.

Upper age limit : Below 30 years of age as of 19th September 2026 which is the closing date.

Candidates who excel at the selection process will be offered a training contract. At the end of one year, upon successful completion of the training contract, candidates will be offered employment as Junior Aircraft Workshop Technician. Both the training and subsequent employment will be subject to a bond.
