Key purpose of the Job

The Intern – Procurement is responsible for optimizing raw material usage and coordinating the sourcing process, from enquiry to purchase order, for the designated raw material category or customer account within the Business Unit. This entails managing the entire procurement process, from PO to pay. Furthermore, the job holder is responsible for executing the duties and responsibilities related to the organization's Health & Safety guidelines, instructions, and protocols.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in raw material procurement, including pre-order confirmation, PO release, and RM follow-up.
• Support raw material sourcing during the development stage, ensuring alignment with Design & Development team requirements.
• Aid in achieving inventory and cost targets for the assigned category/customer account through optimized ordering, minimized write-offs, and cost control.
• Collaborate with suppliers and internal stakeholders to support sourcing, procurement, and supplier relationship management objectives.

Education

Undergraduate in Clothing Technology / Business Management / Logistic / Materials Management or any other relevant stream.

Experience

Good communication and Interpersonal skills.
