Assistant ‐ Mechanic

We are on the lookout for a dedicated individual to coordinate the mechanical aspects of machine set up, Maintenance and repair so as to ensure that all machines in the sample production lines are functioning efficiently in order to meet daily target.
- Operating and programming automated, programmable sewing machines such as JUKI PM1 and Brother PS300.
- Experience as a sewing machine mechanic Mechanical operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of industrial and advanced sewing machines.
- Designing and fabricating jigs and fixtures.
- Communicate effectively with the team to identify requirements such as machine set up, re setting, repair and allocate best resources to carry out the job to minimize downtime.
- Ensure that all issues pertaining to machine layout are effectively resolved and process streamlined.
- Prepare a machine service schedule and ensure that all machines are serviced every six months and a comprehensive service carried out once each year.
- Maintain corresponding log books, records of all repairs carried out including start, end time of repair.
- Obtain a report (machine breakdown report) on a monthly basis, analyse nature and frequency of breakdowns and proceed with required follow up corrective action.
Knowledge and Skills:
- Professional qualification in Mechanical Engineering.
- Minimum 1-2 years' experience in similar capacity.
- Knowledge in SolidWorks, Fusion 360 and CAD designing software.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
