Your team:
As part of the Non-Financial Risk Control you will join Bank Julius Baer Europe S.A., which plays a key role to provide independent oversight and challenge of non-financial risks across the European entities.
The function oversees risks arising from operational processes, internal controls, information and communication technology, cyber security, data management, third party arrangements, business continuity, and operational resilience.
The Graduate Non-Financial Risk Control Manager supports the identification, assessment, monitoring, and reporting of these risks in a consistent and forward-looking manner. Key activities include maintaining risk registers, monitoring Key Risk Indicators, supporting risk and control assessments, reviewing operational risk incidents, and tracking remediation actions. Through these activities, the role contributes to maintaining a robust and effective control environment.
Working closely with the Head of Non-Financial Risk Control, business units, and other relevant stakeholders, the role supports effective risk oversight, constructive challenge, and greater risk awareness across the European entities.
The role also contributes to the implementation, oversight, and monitoring of DORA requirements. This includes activities related to ICT risk management, incident classification and reporting, operational resilience testing, ICT third party risk oversight, and regulatory reporting across the European entities and branches.

YOUR CHALLENGE
- Support the maintenance and continuous improvement of the local Risk Management Framework in line with Group standards, local regulatory requirements, and the business strategy in Luxembourg and the European branches
- Assist with the identification, assessment, monitoring, and reporting of non-financial risks across the organisation
- Support the annual Risk and Control Self-Assessment (RCSA) process, including the documentation of risks, controls, assessment results, control gaps, and remediation actions
- Assist with the annual review and challenge of Key Risk Indicators (KRIs)
- Prepare clear and accurate non-financial risk reports for relevant stakeholders, including senior management, management committees, and supervisory bodies
- Support operational risk management activities, including monitoring, recording, reporting, and follow-up of operational risk incidents
- Assist in identifying weaknesses in processes and controls and contribute to developing proportionate mitigation measures and recommendations for improvement
- Contribute to process reviews and risk assessments across Bank Julius Baer Europe S.A. (BJBE) and its branches.
- Assist with the monitoring and testing of key controls, including applicable Global Minimum Controls
- Support the oversight of third-party risk management activities, including ICT third-party service providers, risk assessments, due diligence activities, and related documentation
- Support risk oversight activities relating to information security, ICT and technology risk, business continuity, operational resilience, and governance frameworks, including activities required under DORA
- Build effective working relationships with business units and control functions
- Support and participate in meetings, workshops, and risk management initiatives, contributing to risk awareness activities and helping to promote a positive and consistent risk culture in collaboration with other Non-Financial Risk teams
- Monitor outstanding actions and escalate issues, delays, or concerns promptly to the Head of Non-Financial Risk Control
- Support the management of the Policy Desk and help ensure that new and updated policies are reviewed, approved, communicated, and published within the required timelines
YOUR PROFILE
- Master's degree from a university or university of applied sciences with above-average grades in Business Administration or Economics (graduation max. 12 months ago)
- Initial practical experience in an (international) banking environment and knowledge of (non-financial) risk management are an advantage
- Strong analytical thinking and the ability to translate complex topics into clear and concise insights
- Solution oriented approach combined with a structured, independent, and accurate working style
- A global mindset, excellent interpersonal skills, and a strong appetite for learning
- Strong organisational and operational skills with attention to detail
- High level of integrity and discretion and ability to work under pressure
- Fluent in English, with additional languages being a plus
- Good knowledge of MS Office
