Position overview

We are looking for a Master Data Domain Lead to join our global Data Management team and play a key role in one of our core business process areas (P2F, O2C, or P2P). In this role, you will lead a team of data specialists while driving data quality, governance, and continuous improvement. Leveraging your expertise in master data management and stakeholder collaboration, you will support business initiatives, help shaping data standards and business processes, and act as the go-to expert for data governance and master data matters within your assigned domain.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the domain expert and trusted advisor for master data governance within the assigned business process domain.
  • Lead, coach, and develop a global team of data specialists.
  • Oversee master data maintenance activities, ensuring compliance with the established standards and procedures.
  • Partner with Business Process Owners, IT teams, and operational stakeholders to improve data quality, governance, and business processes.
  • Drive data quality monitoring, root cause analysis, and remediation activities.
  • Analyze operational performance metrics and drive improvements in service quality and process effectiveness.
  • Maintain and improve work instructions, process documentation, and training materials.
  • Support ERP enhancements and digital transformation initiatives, including SAP S/4HANA.
  • Assess the impact of business initiatives on master data and propose appropriate solutions.
  • Act as the primary escalation point for complex master data, governance, and process-related topics.

Required skills and experience

  • 5+ years of experience in master data management, data governance, or a related ERP-supported business environment.
  • Hands-on experience with ERP systems, preferably SAP ECC and/or SAP S/4HANA.
  • Strong understanding of master data concepts, data lifecycle management, and governance principles.
  • Previous experience leading, coaching, and developing team members.
  • Proficiency in Excel, understanding of reporting and analytics tools (e.g., Power BI).
  • Ability to analyze complex data and business requirements and translate them into practical solutions.
  • Experience with data quality management, data cleansing, or process improvement initiatives.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to identify root causes and implement sustainable improvements.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills in a global, multicultural environment.
  • Fluent English language skills, both written and spoken, to communicate with a global organization and/or customers.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in IT, Business Administration, Supply Chain, Finance, Quality Management, or a related field.
