Job Description
- Assist in the preparation and production of a wide range of pastries, desserts, and baked goods
- Follow recipes and instructions accurately to ensure consistency and quality of products
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to all food safety and hygiene standards
- Collaborate with senior pastry chefs and other kitchen staff to meet daily production goals
- Assist in the plating and presentation of desserts for various dining outlets
- Participate in inventory management and cost control measures
- Contribute creative ideas for new dessert concepts and menu items
- Support the pastry team during high-volume periods and special events
- Continuously learn and improve pastry skills under the guidance of senior chefs
- Ensure all pastry items meet our high standards of quality and presentation
Qualifications
- Basic pastry skills and knowledge of fundamental pastry techniques
- Familiarity with a wide range of pastry ingredients and equipment
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to excellence in all aspects of work
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, dynamic team environment
- Good time management skills and ability to multitask
- Knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices
- Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and work in a kitchen environment
- Flexibility to work varying shifts, including weekends and holidays
- Basic understanding of cost control and inventory management
- Proactive, solution-oriented approach to challenges
- Basic math skills for recipe calculations
- Ability to read and follow recipes accurately
- Creativity and willingness to contribute innovative ideas
- Culinary school diploma or relevant certificate in pastry arts is preferred
