Tilt Tray and Float Driver

The role:

Unyte is seeking experienced HR Tilt Tray and Float Drivers to support our civil construction projects by safely and efficiently transporting materials, equipment and machinery to and from site.

This is a hands-on role suited to a professional driver who takes pride in vehicle presentation, safety compliance and working collaboratively with site teams. Our fleet is based out of Avlon with the opportunity to be a part of close-knit transport team, that puts safety first. Your everyday:

  • Operating either a company Tilt Tray Vehicle or Floats safely and efficiently
  • Travelling locally and interstate
  • Ensure all loads comply with mass, dimension and load restraint requirements
  • Complete daily pre-start checks and report defects promptly
  • Maintain vehicle cleanliness, presentation and professionalism always
  • Support site and yard operations, including loading/unloading, labouring and team coordination

Requirements:

  • Hold a valid HR / HC / MC licence relevant to the vehicle operated

  • A White Card (Construction Induction)

  • Minimum 2 years’ heavy vehicle driving experience in a civil or construction environment, with experience transporting machinery

  • Ability to live away from home from time to time, with the occasional longer trip to FNQ

  • Strong understanding of road transport legislation, NHVR compliance and CoR obligations

  • Experience with Oversize and Over mass loads

  • Reliable, safety-focused and professional approach to work

  • Additional tickets desirable (BFM, load restraint/mass management, First Aid)

  • Have own reliable transport to and from the depot

  • A clean driving history, a recent VicRoads traffic report will be conducted prior to commencement
