This is a casual role, meaning no guaranteed hours per week.
The purpose of this job
Located in Blockhouse Bay, West Auckland Laundry is our dedicated central laundry facility servicing Auckland regional care homes for over the last 10 years.
As a Laundry Worker you will:
- Ensure all care is taken with the residents' personal clothing and is returned to owners
- Operate all laundry equipment as specified
- Meeting of daily schedules to keep laundry up to date and advising Managers of any issues
- Maintaining clean/dirty delineation areas within the laundry
- Monitoring of linen supplies and advising line manager of replacement needs
- Ensure all residents are treated with dignity and respect
What you’ll need to make it possible
Previous experience working in a commercial laundry is preferred, but training will be provided
Be a proactive team player who can work independently and pitch in where needed
Empathetic, enthusiastic, and passionate about making a positive difference for resident
Reliable transport and travel arrangements
Applicants must have the legal right to work in New Zealand
