About the role | Mō tēnei tūranga mahi

This role is 40 hours per week, 8.00am to 4.30pm, Monday to Friday based at our Rotorua site.

As a Service Navigator, you will work alongside kiritaki accessing our services, supporting them to connect with the right mental health, wellbeing and social supports to meet their individual needs.

As part of our Health Team, you will build trusted relationships with people and their whānau on their journey toward wellbeing. You will collaborate with housing, health, and social service providers to ensure coordinated support, and use your knowledge and experience to support effective practice within the team.

About You | Mōu

We are looking for someone passionate about supporting individuals and whānau with multiple and complex needs. You will be culturally attuned, guided by a strong sense of social justice, and able to think creatively to improve outcomes and create meaningful opportunities.

You will also bring:

• Experience in the health and social services sectors in particular the NGO and Community Sector.
• An understanding of wellness and recovery principles.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, along with confidence using the Microsoft Office suite.
• Knowledge of, and demonstrable commitment to, the principles of the Te Tiriti o Waitangi
• A full New Zealand driver’s licence
• A current first aid certificate or be willingness to obtain one
• Knowledge of the Housing First philosophy and approach is preferred (but not essential)
• Familiarity with relevant sector standards and legislation
